A New Opportunity for New Homebuyers

Buying a new home just became more attainable.

The Government of Ontario, in partnership with the federal government, has introduced a temporary HST rebate to help lower the cost of new homes.

For a limited time, eligible buyers purchasing new homes may qualify for an HST rebate. Buyers can receive up to 13% of the HST back, with potential savings of up to $130,000. The full rebate applies to homes priced up to $1.5 million, with reduced rebates available on homes between $1.5 million and $1.8 million.

This applies to newly built homes, including pre-construction and move-in-ready options, and is available to all new homebuyers, subject to eligibility requirements.

The program is available on eligible purchases made between April 1, 2026 and March 31, 2027, helping reduce one of the largest upfront costs and making it easier to enter the market or make your next move.
