Worsley Elementary School
Only a five minute drive from Wasaga Walk, Worsley Elementary School is the closest elementary school for students in JK to Grade 8. Worsley also offers two French as a Second Language programs: Core French and French Immersion, making it a great option for parents who want to provide their children with a French education.

Secondary Schools

Collingwood Collegiate Institute 
The closest public high school for Wasaga Walk residents is Collingwood Collegiate Institute, which is about an 11-minute drive. Students can attend this school from grades 9 to 12 and enroll in special programs such as Dual Credit and French Core or French Immersion. 

Stayner Collegiate Institute
Another great option close to Wasaga Walk is Stayner Collegiate Institute. Serving students in grades 7 through 12, Stayner Collegiate Institute offers a comprehensive academic program with the option to complete Specialist High Skills Majors (SHSMs) and Co-operative Education, Experiential Learning, Dual Credits, and Indigenous Education.

St. Noel Chabanel Catholic School
For children in JK to Grade 8, St. Noel Chabanel Catholic School is the closest option, only a 3-minute drive from Wasaga Walk. Along with academic subjects, religious education is a part of the curriculum, with daily instruction in Catholic teachings and Gospel values.

Secondary Schools

Our Lady of Bay Catholic High School
Students living in Wasaga Walk can attend Our Lady of Bay Catholic High School as their secondary school. Located in Collingwood and a 13-minute drive from Wasaga Walk, this Catholic high school offers a comprehensive curriculum and various athletics and extracurricular activities.

Coming Soon…

It has recently been announced that a new elementary and high school Simcoe Muskoka Catholic District School Board campus is coming to Wasaga Beach. Expected to open in 2027, this building will host students from JK to Grade 12. The facility will feature a new $60 million twin-pad arena, a library, a community theatre, a child care centre, and outdoor recreational fields. As Wasaga is currently the largest community in Ontario without a Catholic secondary school, this is an exciting new project for the SMCDSB in partnership with the Town of Wasaga Beach. Private Schools

Pretty River Academy
If you are interested in private school, Pretty River Academy in Collingwood is the closest option, about 20 minutes from Wasaga Walk. Offering education from Preschool through Grade 12, the school prides itself on its small class sizes and big opportunities. Surrounded by 40 acres of green space, students can learn while they explore the outdoors. The facility also includes light-filled classrooms, a science lab, music and art studios, a full-sized artificial turf field, a multi-use sports court and a full-sized gym.
